El Centro is the modern side of El Tajo Gorge and where you will usually arrive whether you drive or take public transport.

The area is full of quaint squares, the main shopping streets where you also find heaps of restaurants and bars, and one of Spain’s oldest bullrings.

It’s an easy walk from the New Bridge and attraction on the other side of El Tajo Gorge which makes it perfect for sightseeing as well as shopping.

best hotels in Ronda Spain

The old town is jam-packed with some of the best hotels in Ronda Spain and the perfect location for any history buff that likes to be in the middle of the main attractions.

Walk down to the viewpoint of Ronda New Bridge, explore the Arab Baths, climb down the steps of Casa del Rey Moro, and visit Museo Lara.

The charm of the Old Town is what most day trippers miss out on as they run from one site to another. Yet, the medieval streets will draw you in with their allure if you just take the time to wander around.

You will discover old Moorish towers, the old Moorish city walls, and the enthralling Church of Santa María la Mayor. There are also plenty of restaurants and cafés in the Old Town, yet it’s only a short walk to the shops and restaurants in El Centro.

Staying in Ronda Old Town means you’re right in the middle of it all and can easily walk everywhere.

best places to stay in Ronda Spain

San Francisco neighborhood is located outside the Puerta de Almocábar gate and is a quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy sites.

Yet, it only takes a few minutes to walk into the historic center. This is a traditional neighborhood where old grandparents sit on their doorsteps watching children play in the streets.

Local bars and restaurants cater mainly to locals and there are playgrounds for the children. For families looking for accommodation in Ronda Spain, this is a good place to start.

There are not many hotels in this area, but plenty of apartments and houses for rent at affordable prices, making this great for budget travelers too.

Among the places to stay in Ronda Spain, this is one of my favorites, especially when spending some time in the town and looking for quiet evenings in a local environment.
